The first phase of Setareh Khalij Fars (Persian Gulf’s Star) Natural Gas Condensate Refinery will be tapped in near future.

It is estimated that the Iranian section of the field contains 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels of condensates in place.

13 new oil and gas fields have been discovered which contain 6.5 billion barrels of oil and about 62 trillion cubic feet of gas.

Iran currently draws 480 mcm d of gas from South Pars which it shares with Qatar.

The company is expected to launch the platform of Phase 22 of the gas field which is shared by Iran and Qatar by June.

Two NIGC subsidiaries will be liquidated due to their non-economic activities.

Gas production at phases 19. 20 and 21 will reach full capacity by the end of the current Iranian calendar year.

Iran is reportedly engaged in swap negotiations with Russia. Turkmenistan. Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

The company is expected to launch the platform of phase 22 of the gas field which is shared by Iran and Qatar. by June.

The gas-fired Chabahar power plant is the first power station in Iran to receive CNG for electricity production.
