Iran Begins Developing New Gas Field in Northeast

The first phase of the development project of the Tous Gas field in northeastern Iran was started in an official ceremony on Sunday, Shana reported.
Located in Khorasan Razavi Province, Tous Gas field is going to produce three million cubic meters of gas on a daily basis in the first phase and the production of the field is going to be increased to five million cubic meters per day in the second phase.
The inauguration ceremony of the mentioned project was attended by the Head of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Mohsen Khojasteh-Mehr.
According to Khojasteh-Mehr, in total, eight wells are going to be dug to develop this field and $200 million will be invested to complete the project.
