Iran’s Minister of Energy Al-Akbar Mehrabian highlighted the country’s cooperation with Latin American states and called for fostering relations with Nicaragua.
Mehrabian made the remarks at a video conference with a Nicaraguan delegation.
Referring to the history of Iran’s cooperation with Latin American countries, including Nicaragua and Venezuela, the minister said those relations are effective.
Mehrabian also stressed the need to establish economic and political ties with other countries, especially with Latin American ones, based on mutual interests.
For his part, a senior investment and trade adviser to the Nicaraguan president called for finding capacities and potentials for furthering bilateral cooperation.
Laureano Ortega says he is optimistic about the Managua-Tehran joint economic commission meeting.
