Iran Exports more than a Billion Dollars as Goods to Iraq through One Crossing

The assistant for economic affairs at the Trade, Industry and Mining Development Corporation of Ilam province , Saeed Sharifi announced on Saturday that during the last Iranian year (ended 19 March 2020), one billion and 183 million dollars of goods were exported to Iraq through Mehran international borders.
According to the official Iranian “IRNA” agency, which quoted Sharifi as saying that during this period, more than two million tons of goods were exported, an increase of 34 percent compared to this period last year.
He added that most of what was exported during this period to Iraq were construction tools, industrial, agricultural and plastic products, vegetables, fruits, and household items.
It should be noted that Mahran border port is located 3 kilometers southwest of Ilam, adjacent to Iraq.
