Iran’s Daily Gas Production Surpasses 1000mn Cubic Meters

Iran’s Oil Ministry on Saturday announced that the country’s production of crude gas, for the first time ever, surpassed 1,000 million cubic meters a day during last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2022).
The ministry said that the achievement was made due to a jump in gas production at the South Pars Gas Field which is shared by Qatar.
Also, the ministry said, gas production from the giant field set a record of 705 million cubic meters a day in January 2022 thanks to new phases of the South Pars becoming operational.
According to the oil ministry, gas production at the South Pars increased by four percent during last Iranian year.
It says that further increase in gas production at the joint field is on its agenda.
