According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the country’s non-oil trade in the first three months of the current Persian calendar year (March 21 to June 22) reached $26.5 billion.
Some 35.5 million tons of goods, valued at $12.5 billion, with crude oil kerosene, fuel oil and luggage trade excluded, were exported from the country, IRICA said.
Also, 8.6 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at $14 billion, were imported to the country in this period.
Iran’s export of non-oil goods increased by 24.42 percent in weight and decreased in value by 8.84 percent compared to last year’s corresponding period.
IRICA added that products imported to the country from March 21 to June 22 registered a one and a 5.79 percent hike in weight and value respectively.
China, Iraq, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and India were Iran’s first to five export destinations respectively.
In this period, 3.5 million tons of goods were transited via Iranian land, showing a 7.86 percent slump compared to last year’s corresponding period, IRICA added.
