New Oil Well Bolsters Libya’s Production Capacity

The Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO), a subsidiary of Libya’s National Oil Corporation, has successfully activated a new oil well in the Sarir field on 17 January.
The well, designated L096, commenced operations following the completion of essential mechanical and electrical infrastructure works.
AGOCO officials report the new installation will contribute an additional 1,600 barrels of oil per day to the company’s output.
This development aligns with the National Oil Corporation’s broader strategy to expand Libya’s oil production capabilities.
The company emphasised its ongoing commitment to maintaining steady production levels through continuous drilling operations and infrastructure development across its oil fields.
AGOCO plans to pursue further well completion and connection projects as part of its sustained growth initiative.
