Iran prefers exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) to distant markets including the EU. but no agreement has been reached so far for construction of the plants for the purpose.

Tehran is looking to increase its crude output. and with 37 billion barrels of oil. the Azadegan field is Iran’s largest. shared with neighboring Iraq.

Iran plans to increase its condensate production to reach 864.000 bpd within five years.

Iranian gas production will reach 1.3 billion cubic meters per day and production of gas condensate will reach 864.000 bpd in the next five years.

Iran has been producing around 3.8 million bpd of oil in recent months.

Oil exports are expected to reach up to 2.5 million bpd within five years.

South Pars gas field which is located in the Persian Gulf hosts the bulk of Iran’s natural gas reserves.

In July. NIOC signed an MoU with Japan’s engineering group Toyo to revamp facilities and upgrade recovery at the Salman gas field in the Persian Gulf.

In the meantime. other foreign companies are welcome to discuss their interest in the gas field.

Officials place condensate exports between 600.000 and 700.000 barrels a day.
