Gas exports to Iraq have begun at a rate of 7 million cubic meters per day and will eventually increase to 18 mcm d in two years.

Iran is exporting around 2.6 million barrels a day of oil and gas condensates. which are mainly exported from Kharg Terminal.

The South Pars oil layer is located 130 kilometers off Iran'.s coast in the Persian Gulf with an estimated 7 billion barrels of oil in place.

During the period of sanctions. oil production in the country was capped at about 2.7 million barrels a day. including 1 million barrels sent to export markets.

Over past years. 5.000 trucks transit goods between the two countries. now it reaches to 15.000.

The two sides looked forward to building the third electricity transmission line as the grounds for gas trade multiplies.

Data show that barely 240 megawatts. or just around 0.3% of Iran'.s total electricity supplies come from renewable sources.

A number of deals related to long-lead equipment were expected to be signed in the near future.
