Iran is building an onshore oil pipeline worth US$1.8 billion to a terminal just outside the Strait of Hormuz. the most critical oil chokepoint in the world.

The Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) has signed a contract with three Iranian firms for manufacturing and maintaining electropumps for Goreh-Jusk Oil Pipeline Project.

Some 784.000 tons of non-oil goods have been exported from Northeastern Iranian province of Khorassan Razavi in the last 6 months. which shows a 30% rise in comparison with corresponding period in the last year.

A major Italian transportation group is in negotiation with the Port and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO) to establish a shipping route between the Southeastern Iranian port of Chabahar and the Northern Italian port of Venice.

Behrouz Aghaei said that export of products from Chabahar’s Shahid Beheshti Port in the first six months of the current year increased 100 percent as compared to the last year’s corresponding period.

The Oil Ministry expects that the new island and related plans will allow it to almost double its export capacity within three years.

Iran has reported higher volumes of exports for petrochemicals and mining products over the past months.

The £7m plant is expected to treat up to 35 tonnes of unrecyclable plastics a day and create a local source of hydrogen.
