India Willing to Develop Chabahar Port

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar announced that his country has agreed with Iran to accelerate their mutual cooperation on developing Iran’s strategic port of Chabahar.

Just concluded a very productive India-Iran Joint Commission Meeting with my co-chair FM (Mohammad) Javad Zarif. Reviewed the entire gamut of our cooperation. Agreed on accelerating our Chabahar project. Jaishankar tweeted on Sunday.

He also said that he had good talks with Iranian officials on bilateral and regional issues.

In relevant remarks on Sunday. Zarif said that he was pleased to co-chair the 19th Joint Commission Meeting with India’s External Affairs Minister (Subrahmanyam Jaishankar) in Tehran.
