Sulfur Granulation Unit of Isfahan Refinery Operational

The sulfur granulation unit of Isfahan Refinery has been put into operation with the purpose of solidification. storage and packaging of sulfur in accordance with environmental standards.

The unit operates with 300 tons day of production capacity.

According to Isfahan Oil Refinery. the refinery`s chief of A District said: The unit is capable of increasing solidification. storage and packaging of sulfur by up to 600 tons per day.

Asghar Saberi said the unit was launched with an investment of €3.5 million and IRR 370 billion. adding the sulfur granulation unit came online in September but was not fully operational until now.

He outlined some of the advantages of launching the unit. saying: Removing dust particles that cause air pollution. maintaining product quality and increasing production capacity and speeding up operations are among the advantages of the plant.
