90% of Iran’s Rural Areas to Get Access to Gas Network by Late March

The head of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) said 90 percent of the country’s rural areas are going to be supplied with gas through the national gas network by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 19), Shana reported.
Making the remarks on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of some gas supply projects in Zanjan Province, Majid Chegeni said 5,350 villages and 42 cities have been connected to the national gas network since the current government administration took office in 2021.
According to the official, over 8,300 industrial units have also been supplied with natural gas in the mentioned period.
