Iran’s Fajr Jam Refinery Ups Gas Output by 7 Percent in 6 Months

CEO of Fajr Jam Gas Refining Company Abdolsamad Najafi announced a seven percent rise in gas production of the facility in the first half of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020-September 21, 2020).
“Refining and production of natural gas as the main product of this company has increased by seven percent compared to the same period last year by 7 percent,” Najafi said.
Referring to the overhaul operations in the refinery, he added, “Fortunately, all activities are going as planned and the refinery is ready for maximum production in the winter.”
Najafi added that there had been production enhancements in all other items produced by the plant.
The CEO of Fajr Jam Gas Refining Company emphasized compliance with the health, safety, and environment (HSE) measures and health protocols in the overhaul of the company.
“The efforts of the employees of this company are sustainable production in the second half of the year to deliver gas to people’s homes without any disruption,” he said.
Najafi further said that the production of gas condensate as a very valuable product in the Fajr Jam Gas Refining Company has also increased by 30% in the period.
In relevant remarks in mid-June, Spokesman of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Mohammadi Asgari announced that the average gas production at Iran’s refineries stood at 674 million cubic meters per day.
“This figure shows a growth of 24 mcm/d as compared to last year’s natural gas production which was 650 mcm/d,” Asgari said.
The steady increase in Iran’s gas production has provided the domestic petrochemical players with the opportunity to diversify their feedstocks in a bid to tackle the shortages created over past years.
