Iraq’s Weekly Oil Exports to US Decline to 149,000 bpd

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed on Sunday that Iraq’s weekly oil exports to the United States declined during the last week.
The United States imported an average of 4.67 million barrels of crude oil per day from seven major countries last week, according to the EIA. This is over a 219,000-barrel-per-day decline compared to the previous week, when US oil imports reached approximately 4.88 million barrels per day, according to Shafaq News.
Iraq’s oil exports to the United States reached 149,000 barrels per day last week, representing a decline of 46,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, when Iraq exported 195,000 barrels per day to the US.
According to the EIA, Canada accounted for the majority of the United States’ crude oil imports over the previous week, with an average of 3.55 million barrels per day, followed by Saudi Arabia with 349,000 barrels per day, Mexico with 321,000 barrels per day, and Nigeria with 136,000 barrels per day.
An average of 98,000 barrels were imported daily by the United States from Ecuador, and 60,000 barrels from Venezuela.
The United States consumes over 20 million barrels of oil each day, making it the world’s largest consumer.
