The General Director of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan, Mohammad Jafar Ozmaei, stated that during the first 8 months of the current Iranian year, the province exported non-oil products amounting to over 960 million dollars, Mehr reports.
According to Ozmaei, between March 21 and November 22, exports of non-oil goods from the northwestern province increased compared to the same period last year.
He said that despite challenges, the trade sector in the East Azerbaijan province demonstrated satisfactory outcomes.
Ozmaei added that the main trading partners of the province are Turkey, Iraq and Armenia.
He also reported that during the first eight months of the current Iranian year, non-oil products worth $1.06 billion were imported into this province. This constituted a 29% increase in value and a 20% increase in weight compared to the same period last year.
