In the future, Equinor will produce far more gas from the Oseberg and Troll fields. In this way, it will increase supply to the European gas market.
In total, the production permits for these fields will increase by one billion cubic meters each from October 1, Equinor wrote in a press release.
“At Equinor, we do what we can to increase gas exports from our fields on the Norwegian shelf, and the production permits enable us to increase production through the autumn and winter from these two important fields.
“This comes at a good time in the context of the current European gas market,” Helge Haugane at Equinor stated.
