Iran Increases Oil Production in Persian Gulf despite Sanctions

Finalization of the fixation project by the Sahar 2 offshore rig in Resalat Field is another step to increase the production capacity of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company in the Lavan operational area.
The Sahar 2 offshore rig left Resalat Field to Kharg operational area, following its successful performance in changing electric submersible pumps (ESP) of the ARK-1 well on April 20.
Since some time ago, the ARK-1 well of Resalat Oil Complex has been out of service due to a failure of ESP. Following efforts made by officials of the Resalat Field, the Sahar 2 offshore rig was stationed next to the DP platform on April 7 and started fixing the ESP; then, the engineers and staff of the oil well succeeded in restarting production.
The operation has been conducted amid the cruel sanctions on Iran’s oil industry, indicating another sign of the capabilities of Iranian experts, who always try to turn obstacles into opportunities.
This is for the first time that an operation like this kind has been carried out by Sahar 2 drilling rig, while super drilling rigs were utilized in similar incidents.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is suffering from illegal sanctions by the United States and its allies for years. The Western powers try to put pressure on Iranians to stop their peaceful nuclear program and missile capabilities for defense purposes.
