Iran to Recover 1bcm of Gas from Sarajeh Facility

CEO of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company Ramin Hatami said the ICOFC had planned to produce over a billion cubic meters of gas from Sarajeh gas storage facility in winter.
“A sum of 902 million cubic meters of gas was recovered from Sarajeh facility last year,” Hatami said, adding, “While 869 mcm of gas has been injected into the facility this year which means 150 mcm has been added to the recovery capacity of the plant for usage in the winter.”
Hatami also voiced his company’s readiness to supply enough gas to meet the domestic need for the item in the winter.
In relevant remarks in mid-June, Spokesman of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Mohammadi Asgari announced that the average gas production at Iran’s refineries stood at 674 million cubic meters per day.
“This figure shows a growth of 24 mcm/d as compared to last year’s natural gas production which was 650 mcm/d,” Asgari said.
The steady increase in Iran’s gas production has provided the domestic petrochemical players with the opportunity to diversify their feedstocks in a bid to tackle the shortages created over past years.
