Iraq Exports over 6 Million Barrels of Oil to US in January

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed on Sunday that Iraq exported more than six million barrels of oil to the United States in January 2025.
The EIA mentioned that Iraq’s crude oil exports to the United States reached 6.23 million barrels in December, less than the country’s oil exports to the US in December 2024, when they reached 6.69 million barrels, Shafaq News reported.
Iraq exported an average of 152,000 barrels of crude oil per day to the United States during the first week of January, 218,000 barrels per day during the second week, 336,000 barrels per day during the third week, and 66,000 barrels per day during the fourth week, according to figures released by the EIA.
The EIA indicated that Iraq was the sixth-largest oil exporter to the United States during January, following Canada, which was the largest oil supplier to the United States, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, and Venezuela.
Iraq was also the second-largest oil supplier to the United States in the Arab region, followed by Saudi Arabia, which sold 11.99 million barrels to the US during January, and Libya.
